ABOUT THE JOB
Being a Project Interior Design Manager demands energy and enthusiastic and experienced leadership. You share your deep knowledge of people’s life at home and home furnishing competence with your store team. Your main challenge is to show functional, beautiful, sustainable and affordable furnishing solutions that are relevant to many local markets. You also challenge and encourage people to see their homes in new ways.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Your tasks will include:
- Applying your extensive home furnishing knowledge to create up to date room settings and other store media, thereby creating vitality throughout the IKEA store.
- Understanding the richness of the IKEA product range in order to be able to coach and develop others to show distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs.
- Developing, leading and coaching a wide variety of rotating teams of Interior Designers by encouraging open, constructive and honest, two-way feedback.
- Proven ability to quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and ensure Interior Designer understand the impact of Com& actions on the financial results.
- Secure that teams of interior designers execute home furnishing solutions with high quality, simplicity, cost-effectiveness and efficiency using global tools and best practices.
- You lead & inspire a diverse team of Interior designer to develop inspiring store media in both existing and new store formats that contribute to a relevant exciting and surprising customer experience in different touch points.
- You work closely with the store Com&∈ and ID managers to identify and select Interior Designers with the right mind set and competence level to support each project.
- You provide timely and qualitative feedback to the store line manager in order to support the Performance & Development process of the Interior Designers.
YOUR PROFILE
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
- You are a senior performing store ID manager, with experience in expansion projects and new store format projects or a country ID leader with equivalent experience.
- A deep passion, curiosity and understanding for people, home furnishings and people’s everyday life at home.
- Experience as an inspiring and motivating leader and coach who can fully engage diverse working groups of Interior Designers to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability.
- Passion to continually seek new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging teams of Interior Designers to do the same.
- You have a proven record of an open and growth mindset, able to sense what emerges in consumers behaviour, quickly adapt, adjust and lead a team of Interior designers to respond and deliver home furnishing solutions that surprise and exceed consumers expectations.
- Proven ability of building trustful and sustainable relationships within diverse organizations and environment’s.
- Good analytical and strategic skills and the ability to steer the store business over the short-, mid- and long term.
- Project mobility within the country
- Confident in communicating and co-creating with many different people in various changing situations
- English skills are a must for this position, every other national language is a plus (German, French, Italian)
