IKEA Supply AG is the main wholesale company. It owns the goods in the distribution centres, is responsible for cross-border flows and replenishment, and goods to various IKEA Retail Companies. And, in Russia and China, to local wholesale companies. The Indirect Taxes and Environmental reporting team is responsible for the management of indirect tax matters and compliance with indirect tax laws and environmental reporting rules and regulations. We aim to secure that IKEA Supply AG is compliant with environmental laws and to provide support to other supply chain units in Environmental Reporting and wider Extended Producer Responsibility matters.
About the job
The main purpose is to support the environmental compliance reporting and optimisation of the environmental related processes in order to contribute to the supplying process goals and to secure compliance. Securing compliance and supporting strategic business goals will be achieved by continuously evaluating current processes, identifying control weaknesses, developing solutions and implementing improvements in the area of environmental obligations. This requires close cooperation with various different supply chain units within IKEA as well as with external parties such as governmental authorities, compliance schemes, environmental organisations, outsource partners, etc.
You will be working with the following tasks:
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation & reporting by securing complete and correct reporting within given deadlines.
- Monitor laws and regulations and support impact analysis.
- Support developing, implementing and maintaining an environmental reporting tool.
- Work towards simplifying and automating the reporting process whenever possible.
- Continual review of environmental fee/reporting performance.
- Support the assessment of IKEA Supply AG's environmental exposure and costs.
About you
To be successful in this role you need to have:
- University degree in business administration, supply chain, sustainability, life science or equivalent working experience.
- Good knowledge in English, both verbally and written
- Previous experience from working with environmental regulations and its impact on organisations.
- Holistic understanding of Producer Responsibility laws and regulations.
- Knowledge in supply chains in a multi-national environment.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
- Strong interest in environmental issues.
- Able to work under stress and alone but enjoying to work in a team.
- Ability to coordinate with other people through efficient and reliable communication.
- Capability to see and realise potential improvements.
- Flexible and positive to change.
