What you achieve
We build one of the most comprehensive cloud offerings in the market. Joining our DevOps team, you help us develop top-quality features, push them to production, and maintain the cloud platform. Working in a fully Agile environment with SAFe as the underlying framework, you leverage your experience in state-of-the-art methodologies and development pipeline lifecycle techniques such as CI/CD. Taking part in on-call rotation duties, you improve our multiple-customer public and private cloud environments and help us achieve operational excellence. You solve challenging problems and troubleshoot in fully productive enterprise-grade environments. Plus, you are exposed to leading VMware products such as vSphere, NSX, vRealize Suite, Cloud Automation Services, AWS, or Azure.
Why you succeed
- Degree (ETH/Uni/UAS/technical college) in computer science
- Strong experience with and solid knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java) as well as scripting languages (Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell)
- Know-how in Linux or Windows services (especially virtualization)
- Familiarity with continuous integration, testing, and deployment, as well as global public cloud environments and services (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
- Experienced at working with enterprise customers and operations
- Excellent problem solver, team-oriented communicator, enthusiastic and flexible, motivated to learn
- Willing to be on-call and apply the DevOps principles of "you build it, you run it"
- Very good English, German a plus
