The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning [AI:ML] group headed by Prof. Dr. Damian Borth at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) is seeking a candidate for a Post Doc position in Deep Learning.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in computer science or closely related field, with demonstrated background in statistical analysis, signal processing, machine learning and deep learning. In this position, you will focus on developing novel deep neural networks (DNN) architectures towards the trustworthiness of such approaches. In addition to the outlined research, the candidate will also assist in project acquisition, supervising research across the team, and coordinating projects of the group.
We are looking for you, if you have
- completed PhD in Computer Science or equivalent degree by the time of appointment
- confidence in leading a group of PhD researchers to design and evaluate novel deep neural networks (DNN) architectures
- experience with NVIDIA GPU platform (DGX-2 is a plus) for large-scale DNN training
- experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
- a rising track record in peer-reviewed research in the respective topic area
- experience in supervising students and teaching university-level courses is a plus
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
