What you achieve
You help design and operate the message service infrastructure to support customers accessing their service logs and integrating their cloud-native applications. RabbitMQ and Kafka technologies are an essential part of our solution. You contribute to building the necessary RabbitMQ and Kafka infrastructure. Thus, you enable customers to access the service logs and integrate their cloud-native applications. You work on integration into Swisscom Cloud Services, ensure high service quality via CI/CD pipelines, and guarantee service reliability. Together we set up several small to medium-sized messaging clusters, so automated deployment with high availability is a must. In addition, you work 24/7 on-call rotations and provide support for your solution.
Why you succeed
- Degree (UAS / technical college / FCC) in computer science with focus on system engineering
- Experience in building and operating Linux-based services
- Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible or Helm
- Very good know-how in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Golang, Bash, Python)
- Hands-on knowledge in building, concepts, and administration of Linux-based services and Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ services
- Familiar with containers and Kubernetes as well as extensions of Confluent is a plus
- Willing to provide regular 24/7 on-call service
- Enthusiastic learner who enjoys working in a T-shaped team
- Good written and spoken English, German a plus
