Java Application Engineer
What you achieve
You configure and maintain applications on different platforms and integrate them into well-functioning packages for our customers. To achieve this, you are in close contact with internal teams. Your know-how is in high demand when working for projects as well as when setting up and coordinating application renewals. You are a reliable point of contact for your customers. Because you know the requirements, you work for them in the background and ensure that software integrations and projects are delivered and supported from a single source. In addition, you will provide 3rd level support and on-call support for the applications and platforms and will also help the team with your ideas.
Why you succeed
- Degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in computer science or similar area of study
- Ideally several years of experience in the integration of network management or monitoring applications
- Good knowledge of application engineering and operation
- Secure handling on Unix operating systems (Linux)
- Confident handling of script languages, knowledge of a higher programming language a plus
- Good understanding of network technologies (Wireline, Wireless, NFV, SDN, SD-WAN) a plus
- Solution-oriented, assertive, and communicative personality
- Very good English, German a plus
