What you achieve
Our customers want services that go beyond Infrastructure-as-a-Service. Using workflows, you integrate service platforms into our orchestration platform (vRealize Orchestrator and OpenServiceBroker). You also ensure that all components – including those from other teams – work together seamlessly. So, you refine everything into a full-fledged product. This also includes ensuring quality with automated test cases in our CI/CD pipeline and keeping an eye on the later lifecycle management of the products. In a team of about eight people, you work on call. According to the motto "You build it, you run it", you are willing to work in operations as well as provide 3rd level support of your solution.
Why you succeed
- Degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in computer science
- Good knowledge of various script and programming languages (ideally JavaScript, Python, Java and/or Groovy) as well as common operating systems, their system services and tools
- Know-how in cloud-native technologies (CloudFoundry, Docker, Kubernetes, PKS)
- Knowledge of VMware automation tools (vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, vCloudDirector) and in-depth knowledge of networks (MPLS, NSX, overlay networks) is a plus
- Understanding and enjoyment of complex and distributed system architectures
- Continuing education (ETH/Uni/UAS) in business administration is a plus
- Ability to analyse complex issues, think in a networked way, and implement pragmatic solutions
- Good sense for balancing the need for perfection with creating first attempts (iterative procedure, "good enough" first delivery)
- Good English, German a plus
