What you achieve
As a 5G Product Engineer for enterprise customers, you bring mobile communication for enterprises to the next level. Thanks to you, our 5G networks add considerable value to our enterprise customers by integrating 5G into their IT strategy for new use cases like industrial automation or as an alternative to Wi-Fi. You prototype hardware and software solutions in lab environments or on the customers' premises. If successful, the prototypes are further evolved to enterprise-grade products. In addition, you closely interact with enterprise architects and support them with your technical knowledge. From solving complex network integrations to integrating solutions into our IT environment, you tackle problems with a "can-do, will-do" attitude. You take projects from the whiteboard to successful deployment. This journey takes you well beyond 5G technologies: networking, IT orchestration, test automation, monitoring, end-to-end testing, and operational aspects are all part of it.
Why you succeed
- Degree (ETH/Uni/UAS/technical college) in electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, or similar
- Several years of experience in designing large-scale IP networks and hands-on experience configuring network elements such as routers and firewalls
- Excellent understanding of IP networks, firewalls, routing, security, and switching, ideally in an NFV environment
- Strong Unix/Linux+ admin knowledge
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming or scripting language
- Familiar with software development concepts such as APIs and system interaction
- Knowledge of LTE, ideally 5G, wireless communication, and cellular networks in general is a plus
- Team-oriented personality, thriving in agile setups (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), happy to work in cross-functional teams
- Very good English, German a plus
